Cambridge Currriculum

Cambridge Lower Secondary is for students between 11 and 14. We develop students and help them be confident, responsible, innovative and involved. Cambridge Secondary includes assessment which proves what they have learned, but at the same time, it helps children improve the quality of their learning process.

The program offers a natural progress for children coming from Cambridge Primary and prepares them for the educational programs after the age of 14 leading them to obtain international qualifications.

Cambridge Lower Secondary develops the students’ skills by studying English, Mathematics and Science. The content of these subjects is very well-structured in order to provide a balanced curriculum while at the same time being able to fit into the national, cultural context and school ethos.

The curriculum sets clear objectives and focuses on the development of knowledge and skills in all subjects, providing an excellent basis for the next stage of education.

The assessment of the knowledge acquired in Cambridge Lower Secondary is done by applying international tests, called progression tests given at the end of the school year to students from 5 th grade to 8 th grade. These tests are applied and evaluated by the school teachers, complying with the scales sent by Cambridge International Examinations. They can generate reports that show the evolution of each student over the years at Cambridge Lower Secondary and also show the strengths and weaknesses. That is why, they can be used to permanently improve education.

According to the Cambridge structure, the Secondary cycle ends at the end of the eighth grade, when students take the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint exams, which take place in school, but are evaluated by specialists from Cambridge International Examination.

Welcome message from the manager

When I founded the educational project I called Paradis, back in 2005, I was already experienced in education and I had felt for quite some time the need for a drastic change of paradigm in education. This need became acute when I became a mother. Thus, I created an educational environment where the activity of live learning is centered on the child as a whole, the main and constant focus being to maintain the child’s curiosity to know and explore the world, to make sure they are happy, motivated and their personality is shaped harmoniously.
