At Paradis International College we are constantly concerned with the integration of foreign languages into the daily activities of the school, so that our students not only assimilate knowledge at the highest level, but end up using it like a native speaker.
This approach offers numerous academic and lifelong benefits. Research shows that children educated in multilingual environments develop stronger working memory, outperforming their peers in skills like reading and mental arithmetic. They also excel at multitasking, demonstrate greater cognitive flexibility, and possess enhanced listening abilities. Additionally, learning multiple languages sharpens their attention span, fosters a “musical” ear, and deepens their understanding of their native language.
At Paradis International College, we continuously strive to expand the range of foreign languages that children can choose to study, considering both students’ and parents’ preferences as well as the demands of our evolving world.
At Paradis International College, English is taught by specialist teachers using Cambridge International and British school methods and resources.
Students are introduced to English from preschool, where daily language activities take place under the guidance of an English teacher. Children are consistently encouraged to use common expressions in a natural and spontaneous way, fostering early language acquisition.
At the primary and secondary levels, English is integrated into at least five weekly lessons, along with a minimum of three after-school sessions.
In high school, the Romanian curriculum specializing in Natural Sciences is taught bilingually in both Romanian and English.
Beyond the regular English lessons, the language is also incorporated into other subjects. At the primary level, we enhance the national curriculum with Science lessons taught in English. In secondary school, English is used in both Science and Math lessons, further reinforcing bilingual education.
Paradis International College has been a Cambridge preparation and assessment center for over 10 years, offering internationally recognized language exams for all levels. Primary students take the Young Learners Exams (Pre-A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers), while secondary students sit for A2 Key, B1 Preliminary (PET), and B2 First (FCE). High school students prepare for the IELTS exam, which supports their admission to prestigious universities and international programs. Additionally, these certificates can serve as equivalents for language proficiency tests required for admission to bilingual or intensive high school programs and the baccalaureate exam.
Results of the above exams:
First Certificate in English (FCE): 50% of the students achieved C1 and 50% B2
Preliminary English Test (PET)
Key English Test (KET): all students achieved a B1 level, with 30% earning the highest possible score
Young Learners Flyers (YLE Flyers)
Young Learners Movers (YLE Movers)
Young Learners Starters (YLE Starters)
German is taught at the primary and secondary levels for two hours per week, along with at least two after-school lessons.
The Paradis curriculum incorporates various co-curricular activities and international projects that help students develop their knowledge of the German language, culture, and civilization.
Our teachers also prepare students for the Zertifikat Deutsch exams, and we are proud of their outstanding results:

Spanish is available as a subject of study at the secondary level, both within the Romanian curriculum and the Cambridge program.
