Performing Arts – Drama

At Paradis International College, we strongly believe that acting is a powerful tool for students to build self-confidence and learn to navigate their emotions. Stepping onto a stage in front of an audience requires courage, and through this experience, students develop resilience and poise.

Acting allows students to embody different characters from diverse backgrounds, fostering a deeper understanding of human nature and cultures. This, in turn, helps them develop empathy and emotional intelligence – essential life skills that extend beyond the stage.

Through drama, students enhance their concentration, memory, expressiveness, vocabulary, and speaking technique. They also cultivate teamwork, learning to support and collaborate with one another in a creative environment.

From kindergarten to high school, acting holds a special place in our curriculum. All students participate in the production of plays and musicals, which are performed at evening events and competitions. Over the years, many of these productions have become cherished memories within the Paradis community, including Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, My Fair Lady, Peter Pan, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Matilda, The Frozen Kingdom, The Polar Express, The Bat and A New School Teacher, Mamma Mia (the musical), A Christmas Carol, and many more.

We also provide frequent opportunities for students to attend age-appropriate theatre performances, allowing them to experience the magic of live theatre, appreciate the effort behind a production, and develop their attention, comprehension, and language skills.

The new Paradis International College campus features a state-of-the-art Festivity Hall with 200 seats, professional technical facilities—including a stage, lighting, sound system, backstage area, and dressing rooms—offering students the perfect space to showcase their talents and integrate the skills they acquire in drama, music, and arts classes.
