Invited to the 50th anniversary edition of the prestigious INOVA 2026 International Invention Show in Zagreb, Paradis students presented two projects in which their passion for discovery was transformed into concrete ideas with an impact that extends beyond the classroom. The MechaByte robot, which had already won an award at the FIRST Tech Challenge European Championships in Eindhoven, once again demonstrated its precision before an international audience and the judging panel. And the Paradis Educational Apiary showed visitors what experiential learning is all about: from studying bees to handmade products crafted and sold by students for charity.
The Warda robot, which has now captured the attention of all attendees at the fair, also won the “Innovate Award” – Second Place – at the FIRST Tech Challenge European Premier Event in Eindhoven this summer, and the team became European runner-up in an alliance with the team from the “Grigore Moisil” Computer Science High School in Iași. Presented by the students of Class 5B, the Paradis Educational Apiary showed visitors what experiential learning is all about: from studying bees to handmade crafts created and sold by the students for charity. This year’s success builds on our school’s achievements in 2024, when our flagship project, “Tansa – A Land of Stories,” impressed the INOVA Fair jury and earned the school the WIIPA trophy, the WIIPA Special Award, and the gold medal awarded by the Croatian Inventors Network.
Congratulations, dear students and teachers, on taking the international stage of innovation alongside inventors, researchers, and teachers from 60 countries!
